This is us!
Nice to meet you! We are three master students based in Lisbon, Portugal. We got together during classes and Go Bananas started as a class project. We connected through our desire of fighting food waste and helping those who surround us. This wish of changing the world united us and now it's coming true!

One of my earliest childhood memories is watching my dad (who is an amazing chef) cook in awe - nowadays I'm even more impressed as he never throws anything away but simply makes up new dishes with the leftovers in the fridge. Having grown up in a tiny village in Germany with more cows than people, I've by now lived in five different countries and Portugal is definitely one of my favourites. I never get tired of showing off to my friends that it takes me just a one minute walk from my house to surf, so if you see me wiping out on the beach close-outs never be shy to say hello!

Born and raised in Germany, I was tired of the constant rain and bad weather. Loving surfing, the ocean and nature in general, I suddenly found myself in Lisbon and at NOVA SBE doing my master’s degree. That’s how I ended up in this lovely country and the place where GoBananas was born! With GoBananas, I want to contribute my part to being able to enjoy nature in the same way that we were and still can do today!

I was born in a food loving family. Our family tradition was to share on Sundays the table. During these gatherings I was impressed with which diligence my grandmother used all the products she had bought, with the objective to minimize food waste as much as possible. Thus, with this spirit in mind, joining go bananas was a no brainer. In my free time you can find me reading, travelling, doing sports and obviously being a foodie!
